Army of Sound was Heaton's second full-length album to see an official worldwide release in April 2014.

 

The album was recorded over a 3 year period which saw the singer/songwriter collaborate with some of the best up and coming producers from around the world. Notable credits include Marty Smith (aka Martez), Przemek Grzelak, Peter Tanico (e39), Alan Burke (The Brooklyn Foundation), James Blair (Project K), Emma Lowe and Custom Phase.

 

The album features the singles Never Gonna Fall, Black & White Everybody and Send Me an Angel -  a reworking of Real Life's 1983 smash hit.

The album received its own live album launch which saw Heaton showcase a number of the album's tracks live at the famous Dry Bar in Manchester. Joined on stage by longtime friends and producers Alan Burke & James Blair, alongside Emma Lowe who provided guest vocals for Love Has Gone on the record.
