Heaton has today confirmed that his new single will be released on 8th August 2011. His new single, his first in 2 years, is a collaboration with Damien Boss called 'Never Gonna Fall'. Both artists met last year on the music networking site SoundCloud. The collaboration inspired Heaton to get back in the studio and start work on a new dance inspired album pencilled in for a September release.
The single will be released worldwide on Heaton's own label Heaton Music. A special mixes bundle will also be released on US dance label Subtone Records around the same time.
Earlier this week a special teaser video was released on YouTube which you can watch below. Leave us your comments and feedback.
Heaton has today confirmed that his new material could be released as early as August this year. The singer/songwriter from Manchester has been recording off and on since his last release '2 Minus 1' back in 2009. He had originally hoped to release new material much sooner but for a number of reasons, despite single releases in 2007, 2008 and 2009, no full length album ever materialised.
The new album is said to have more of a dance edge and he has enlisted the help of some up and coming DJ/Producers to mould his new sound. The first single expected around August time is a track called "Never Gonna Fall" which he has co-written with producer Damien Boss. Another track which Heaton himself leaked onto the web last month is a track called "Everybody".
Both tracks have received amazing feedback from online streaming sites such as SoundCloud where a sneak peak of his new single has received over 3000 plays in just 3 days.
“ I’m really happy with the sound of the new album. It’s a return to the dancefloor and the kind of music I do best.” Heaton
