An interview with JonWayne Eaden

This week we spoke with Hip Hop and House producer and musician JonWayne Eaden.

Where are you based?
McAllen, Tx (Rio Grand Valley)

What is your musical setup?

Dell Pavilion dv6 Laptop, M-Audio Studio Monitors, M-Audio Axiom 49 Keyboard and a Traktor Kontrol S1.

What programs/equipment do you use and why?

I use FL Studio 10 & a M-Audio Axiom 49 keyboard to produce. I've always liked producing in FL Studio because it is very user friendly and you can make some big noise out of it. It allows you to concentrate on the creativity and not the tech issues. The Axiom 49 keyboard is a great midi keyboard that allows me to play & produce live while using my enormous digital sound bank and VST collection.

How long have you been producing music for?

I have been full time producing for about a year in a half. Part time producing for about 5 years.

What first got you into music?

I was born and raised for music! My Dad was a DJ. My Mom was a promoter, event coordinator, dance team instructor, and teen club owner when I was younger. I was always in the mix of it all. Learning daily!

What are your favourite artists / influences?

Lil Jon, LaidBack Luke, Lil Wayne, AfroJack, MC FlipSide, TI, R3hab, Three 6 Mafia, Swedish Hous Mafia, Mannie Fresh, Timbaland, Drake, Chukie, DJ Micheal "5000" Watts, DJ OG Ron C, Sidney Samson, Bobby Burns.......... the list goes on...

What is your biggest success so far musically?

This year alone I have opened up for big name artist such as: Tiesto - Frankie J - Chingo Bling - Jeremih - Mark Farina - Phunk - Pauly D - plus more to come. Also, the "Never Gonna Fall" remix is my first remix & production signed and released on Beatport.

What are your future plans/ambitions?

I plan on producing, rapping, and singing on more tracks, remixes and originals, and releasing them worldwide. I also wanna tour and perform all over the world, whilst collaborating with other great artists.

What other projects are you working on at the moment?

I'm currently working on a 2nd Beatport release with my MixMaster-RGV brother, Reepr. We've already released "Teckno Boogie" a couple months back featuring myself on the vocals and Reepr on the production. This next release will also feature me on the vocals and Reepr's production. I'm also working on some tracks that I'm producing for myself and others to Rap/Sing on and release on Beatport. I also have a podcast series called "Houz Party", which is sponsored by The Protein Shoppe in McAllen, TX.  "Houz Party" is an hour long mix, showcasing my skills and work, which I also host, vocally. I'm currently on volume 13 in the "Houz Party" series and I don't plan on stopping anytime soon.

What attracted you to remix Never Gonna Fall?

Everything! The vocals, the production, and especially the message. lol Its a very good track that I can relate to along with others. I knew it was gonna be fun to remix and it would defiantly bang in the club! Thanks for the opportunity.
